Scenario
11-year-old Alfonso, Don Quixote’s heir, and 3 imaginary and musical rabbits join Pancho and Victoria to save their beloved city of La Mancha from a massive storm. References E.T. (1982). I just watched this in the cinema. Wow, that’s bad. Every few minutes fart gag or similar. For some reason, the last few scenes have a mime that is nothing more than cheap laughs. Nobody laughed. Seriously, maybe one in eight gags got a reaction from the audience, even though they were mostly kids. The animation was mediocre at best. In particular, the main character, Alfonso, looked cheap, as if the model was taken from some animation stock. The script and the story lacked all sensitivity. Some scenes made no sense at all. The fictional characters could have played a major role in the film, but they were just some weird subplot. There are so many better children’s movies out there.
