I’d get two nickels
Scenario
11-year-old Alfonso, the heir to Don Quixote, and 3 imaginary and musical rabbits join Pancho and Victoria to save their beloved town of La Mancha from a massive storm. References (1982) If I had a nickel for every Don Quixote movie that came out in the 1920s…
That’s not much, but it would be weird if it happened twice
Overall, this movie is not easy on the eyes, its CGI style with unflattering character designs; the fact that the 2D concept art in the credits is so vivid is an even bigger crime. If it does have one redeeming feature, it’s the depiction of the Spanish mountains, which look gorgeous.
that have no bearing on the plot, and an exciting pace that makes the movements seem weird and unnatural
Some of the odd creative decisions include hiring Panza as scientists, one henchman with a strangely swollen neck, and three imaginary rabbits. The villain is a general cliché, and the story doesn’t feel coherent with how ruthlessly he gets the scene I won’t make.
All in all, a chaotic mess
victim. This movie has an environmental message, although it’s also anti-gentrification, so I give it credit for that.
