The movie is more conventional

Scenario

Leone is not interested

He’s not trying to do ‘It follows,’' or 'Smile' or Rosemary’s Baby.' He doesn’t want to create horror with depth and nuance. He is about to make a splash; a feast of blood, guts and gore. He aims to outdo other horror directors by upping the ante with carnage by throwing everything, including the kitchen sink and plumbing, at the audience in an attempt to create thrills and chills. He succeeds. Armed with a bigger budget than before, Leone delivers a wonderfully brutal festival of extremes that is a worthy addition to Terrifier. franchise. It’s wilder, funnier and darker than its predecessors.

bitter disappointment awaits you

Redundant and too gory if you expect Leone to work within what is traditionally called “good taste”. He doesn’t just push boundaries, he smashes them and destroys them, holding an ax to his head and a screwdriver to his spleen. That said, the scenes that don’t involve any violence tend to be dull, lacking in force or momentum.
